V9S 7 Day Epg

Hi, new here, and new to Openbox V9S.
So far I am very happy with this new box, however I would like to get a 7 Day EPG, which I have heard is possible.
Anyone know how to install it?

I believe its the same setup as v8s

Agree with daleh43 - The Openbox EPG setting is round about the same, an external storage device is required and it will write it all to an xml file, if the communication between the box and the storage device breaks (other than standby) auto-update will fail.

I have checked out the video you suggested, however the V9S does not have the EPG and Time settings option, it just has Time Settings.
There is no option to select Internet XML TV.

Any further help would be appreciated.

Hi,

I'm also new here but tech savvy and can confirm that the V9S doesnt have the EPG and Time settings option.

Does anyone know if this is a menu item that needs to be unlocked somehow?

Also, I find it odd that the user interface on the V9S looks less impressive and user friendly than the one on the V8S after having watched a few videos on youtube.

Is there a way to add a new skin at all?

Whilst in the EPG there's an option to view it weekly, Press the red button on the remote.

Only thing is it reverts to default once you come back out of it.

Actually to be fair the IPTV is fairly good on these boxes so it could soon become the next best thing. WHO KNEW.

Hi - here's a weird problems I encountered. I have a V9S which is connected to both Hotbird and 28.2 via diseq switch. All is working perfect.
To my amazement, without me adding any settings or doing anything regarding the EPG, the box is automatically updating a full 7 day EPG, but only on the Hotbird channels. All 28.2 channels are purely now and next.
Anybody any ideas how to include 28.2 so it had full EPG.
Please note this applies to V9S - I know full well how to work the V8S EPG.
