Hi all i need some advice please. I have had an f5s for a few months with no issues and i bought another 2 at christmas but i am having problems with them both as i get all chanels with signal around 78% but when i go to movies it drops to 5% the first box is still fine thow. All boxes are f5s and conected to a sky dish with 8 outlets on lmb. Please could you advise me on this ?

Hi have you any sky +boxes off the same dish and l n b The l n b will not switch between the v and h causing you to loose certain channels

first of all try the the other boxes on the working cable, just to make sure the boxes are fine. if the boxes work ok on that cable then it is either the LNB are cable issue.. To test the LNB you will need to have access to a ladder and switch the cables to the working cable port on the lnb. if the boxes work ok on that port the LNB is breaking down on the other ports. you may still be able to get some good ports has they all work independent of each other.

If you press menu on your box go to installation and switch your lab off you will get movies but make sure you switch it back on when you finish I Always run these boxes from a separate l n b and dish to stop these problems

So just get 3dishes mate and you will be okay lol

I will look like joderal bank with 3 dishes up lol. I will look at the lnb ports tomorrow and see if that resolves the problem failing that i may need an engineer to look at it i think. Thanks for all your help and i will post how i get on with it

Try just having one openbox attached to the dish and see if all channels work? Seems to be a common fault lately with this happening

My parents had openbox and a sky hd box which was doing it. They changed to zgemma but we're planning on doing anyway. I'll try and find the link to previous posts for you. I'm sure others changed there line from msgcamd to ccam or other way round and it worked

It's posted in the linked thread.

But my mate had the same problem everything worked except for movies. Checked all the frequencies
in case it was a channel list problem but they were all correct.

Movies are all on the same transponder, and the signal might be a bit weaker than some of the others, moved the dish
just a few millimeters and hey presto, they all came on.

I have tried N server , reseting boxes, blind scans and all settings are same as box downstairs that that works perfectly but still no joy with the upstairs boxes. Internet is fine as all running on ethernet's from main router. Its just doing my head in lol

Yes they work fine downstairs but i have only ever had them running on its own and nothing upstairs when i first got them and tested them
