Anyone shead some light on this

Hi I'm new saw this post on Facebook.i have a openbox v8s since Nov last year it came with 3 yr gift.obviously sky changed transponders and all was wiped.but since last week on the same box I've had gold.discovery some kids Comedy Central.really all channels that aren't sky no movies sport but I still have a good selection that should really should be still scrambled.ive no idea but I don't have iptv.im not really up to date on all this but haven't seen anybody else say the same so thought I would let you know to try your own v8s see if yours have come partly come back.thank you
 
All the channels that you have have always been available - it's just with the V8S, it doesn't auto update so all the channels that are still available, would have needed manually adding from other frequencies.
 
I haven't a clue as I said I don't no much about the settings etc.just thought it was weird that quite a few channels had come back as I haven't changed anything or updated it.not that I know how.
 
still waiting for a few pic or a video demo of it working he dose not seam keen on that or team in do my box or send me a back up image to try . so looks like ill have send someone round to get a box done for me so i can see these setting deep in the box that will run all dark channles . he even claims there 4 ppl on here running this aswell that he knows of
 
Wouldn't he charge more then £30 knowing there's no fix yet and people would be in demand for his fix it its true what he's saying if it was 100% true what he says he can do why is he Assing around not willing to demonstrate
 
so far i have been shown i couple pics of the box on music channles and rt hd lol sill waitting for the movies and sports pics / video demo

Hi did you say you have some channels back? Please can you give me more info? I need to know what i'm doing wrongly with mine. Thank you.
 
hi, ive lost all the channels on my openbox v8s and i still have 6 months left on my gift. any idea how i can get these back. would appreciate some help please.

youre provider has probably shut up shop,
lots have

but, go into menu and check if your cam is online or not, to be sure

They should be but don't know if there actually part of the C/S have you checked see if your still online like steptoe quoted to your post if online it should say online and a green tick at side try rebooting your box and checking your cabling see if it's come loose
 
I know my CS is gone but the receiver is still capable of displaying all fta channels same as any freeview box. The signal hasn't gone just the ability to descramble some of the channels. Maybe need a rescan
