Sky box/openbox V8S as freeview alternative

Hi there folks,

My old sky box f3 has recently died and I'm looking into buying a new box. I only want to watch the free channels (no paid channels).

Will the openbox work not plugged into the internet connection? My old sky box f3 worked like a charm without being plugged into the internet.

Any openbox will do. I use the v8s for fta. Try that or the latest openbox wotever you can get cheapest.

Yep, works without internet for FTA channels, all boxes do.
