Hi as title suggests I'm a complete noob on itpv. What I'm looking for is it to run on my h2s using the current sly skin/epg is that possible ? Also I don't understand which plug in etc you use any help/videos/suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Tia
 
The supplier will take care of installation , you only need epg importer and crossepg installed on your box or if the supplier have his own image you can flash using it

So the epg isn't dependant on the supplier ? I could have to sly skin and it wouldn't have go with whatever they have in place ?
 
If supplier provides a script, then epg should run sweet using epg importer. Stay away from plugins, a script is much better

why stay away from a plugin ? yes stay away from the xtream e2 one as its rubbish for streaming but different plugins do different things.
 
you can install with a script and then use a cron script to keep it up to date. there is a plugin that's easier than a script which does both and all the user does is select provider name and input username/password after ftp the plugin over

The EPG import needs specific sources from individual suppliers (at least that's what I presume)

In epg importer you can select source from uk usa and international this is same as sat and cable and iptv

Yes but as far as I understand the sources need to be scripted in from a supplier

No mate it doesn't need to be sourced by provider , only xtream tv epg is sourced by provider

So your saying for example a m3u file extracted as a bouquet (s) can have epg populated with epg import without supplier intervention ?, Interesting if true

Well you could say so , it doesn't get installed on enigma 2 using directly m3u , it need to be inserted using commands

this is iptv im usieng on sky sking with epg-importer + custorm xml for there streams has semi us epg aswell now
