Hi I am thinking about buying some sort of iptv box as I'm currently using zgemma star 2s.
I want to know if you receive fta channels as standard on these boxes I will probably use the flash from my zgemma box?
Just wanting to see if free to air tv is possible without sub?

Any recommendations on boxes would be helpful

Cheers

I believe you can.

As far as I know you can't get fta without buying a sub. You need to buy a sub to get access to any channels.

Thanks for the advice and help.
Reason i am looking at getting another box is i think the zgemma box is struggling to run the iptv subs that i have, on the box i have 2 iptv running so i have a back up if channel is down etc plus still have sly sub running for fta etc.
Was thinking about getting a new box and putting old box in bedroom as currently using zgemma box and distributing it around my house and wont be able to do this with Iptv box.

i55 should have no problems running IPTV (internet may be your issue) a HS or H2S will allow FTA from satellite both have built in sat tuner (s), best of both worlds IPTV + FTA

Was thinking about I55 or mag box to run the IPTV. My internet is running at 36mb down and 9mb up doe anyone know if a high latency can cause streams to run poor?
Am i right in saying that with the I55 OR MAG boxes you can pause, fast forward the vod?
Also can you still record with the IPTV boxes?

If you only want free to air channels why do you want an iptv box, just use the box you have and watch via the satellite.

Like i said im looking to have it as back up for the standard channels as i find it easier with the standard channels rather than use the IPTV to watch these, because you can type in channel selection a;lot quicker

Still easiest to just use the current box... Lots of people have no issues using that box for their IPTV...

But, if I were buying a new box just for IPTV, I would personally prefer the i55 over the MAG (unless you find computing difficult), as you'll find it hard to be happy with the mag after using E2 imo...
