Many thanks

Any providers worth their salt should be able to sort it their end without you getting a VPN/VPN router

Can't have vpn on mag boxes i don't think mate and smart tv ain't got a clue bare with me I will do a google search what tv do you have

For the mag box you'll need a dedicated router with VPN software installed. For your smart TV check if you can load the PIA or IPVanish app, if you can buy a subscription and away you go. You can always add the PIA or IPVanish sub to a router if you decide to get one.

Cheers guys i have just installed ip vanish in my dads firestick and he is up and running . Not as simple for me. Thought i would need to go down the route of blocking at router. I take it my router is no good. So need to weigh up cost of changing provider against setting up vpn and new router.
Cheers for the replies.
P.s. my supplier has had 2 weeks and doesnt seem to be any furter forward.

If it's first gen firestick one without alexa on remote vpns don't work on them the ones with alexa vpns work

A decent router will be about £150, plus the cost of the vpn. I tried it with a cheap Linksys but it didn't have the processing power to work without completely throttling throughput. If you can get one that runs tomato or dd-wrt it'll be a doddle to set up.

i had a problem the first week with football however, it has beeen fine since

Same here. First week wasn't 100% although not a total black out. Since then it has been fine.

I too am currently on the standard Sly service. I therefore suggest your supplier needs to sort it out or you need to move on.

There is suppliers who don't have any issues with the block, test out a few more suppliers and as always keep subs short so you can swap and change

I have my own usual supplier who is brilliant. Then got a 48 hour sub off this site this morning just to test as a backup and its been excellent all day.So I will keep them both now the whole point is just to trial and hope. Those suppliers who have servers outside this country seem to be the best ones.
