A 'dark' weekend

Evening all.

This weekend has a been a poor weekend fir watching P/L football in our household. Despite having a VPN that has got round ISP blocking (until now!) all P/L feeds on my IPTV have been dark this weekend. I use Digibit for my VPN and BT is my ISP.

Anyone know what the most likely issue is here and, more importantly, how I can resolve it?

I take it from those two replies that you've had no problems this weekend?

By 'provider' are you referring to IPTV provider.

Do you both use a VPN?

Another possible reason, is the fact that you have/use vpn does not necessarily mean you do not have dns leak (i.e. for one reason or another your device was/is still relying on the your ISP's domain name server, which is what ISPs use to implement the blockage). It depends on what device you use, on pc you can check using http://dnsleak.com/ and https://ipleak.net/#dnsleak

I was fine all weekend with the football and I'm with BT too, I would get in contact with your supplier and let them know the issues you have had this weekend as their server may have been the one that was attacked.

Pm me which provider you use Cliffy as one of mine went off too. Interesting to know if it was the same one or if a few were hit.

Was strange because even with a VPN it was still completely blocked so definitely looks like new tactics from epl. I'm with Plusnet and using IPvanish

I know that one provider was down due to their own DNS issues, nothing to do with EPL. Just unfortunate that it happened at the weekend... The fix took up to 48 hours to be resolved, but should be sorted by now...

Thanks for the replies.

I lost quite a few channels while the EPL matches were on but got these channels back once the matches finished.

jclappi you have a PM.

It must be crap paying for all them channels for them nit to work when you most probably want them to. I think I'll stick with my big dish....

What, a 2.4m dish, and only being able to listen to arabic audio, after paying however for the sub as well... And then missing out when it starts to rain :p

2.4 isn't needed really ... I have a 1.1 which is sufficient then £30 a year for euro sub - I have never failed to watch a footie game due to rain.

From all my providers (3) all were down this weekend. Untill. Sunday. So i dout its the providers

I've got a 65cm and get as much WSB in English as I want, and loads of EPL and 3pm KOs if I could be ar5ed watching it

really do need to get my finger out and put my 1m motorised up tho,

Foreign commentary? I get English audio for all my games on my 1m dish. Most games available via a sky mini dish if you have lnbs in correct position. As for subs? Well euro subs are cheaper, provide more content and more importantly work
