Wooshbuild Support Thread

Hi i am pleased with the new build but i am now getting the blue screen software problem 1511471687 restart box, on a continuous loop. Any ideas. cheers

Hi hope you can make it out
That is being caused by the plugin called cacheflush. I can't tell you why though all of a sudden as it has been in every WB since version 1.

If you can see your box on your computer network, you can try deleting the cache flush folder on the box to see if it will boot again. After that I would suggest a re-flash.

Have a look on the computer network for your box name. Double click the icon for it.
Open the root folder
then navigate to the following:
/usr/lib/enigma2/python/Plugins/Extensions - once you are here look for the folder called cacheflush and delete it.

Hopefully you box will now boot. If not you are looking at a reflash.

Thanks woosh managed to delete it and my box is up and running. Now how do i get cache flush back on box configured correctly?

Go into remove plugins (Green -> Red) then into extensions and select cache flush from the list and remove.
Backup your settings at this point.

Then go back to the plugin browser screen and press the green button (install plugins) and extensions, then cache flush. This will install the latest version available (although was running latest version)

If you still have problems, try removing the USB device, although doubt that is causing it but the only thing you can remove. Last choice is try and love withouth cacheflush, but cause cause crashes. Or Reflash and restore your settings.

You don't say what box you are using but if it was a common thing we would have heard about it before now from multiple users.

Same error message? A blue screen can give a lot of information and they are all different unless the exact same error.

cant remember if it was the same wooshman I have saved this page with blue screen on so if it happens again I will compare it and let you know thanks for reply

Updated Wooshbuild from V6.1 to 7 a couple of days ago and it has worked perfectly - thanks again Wooshman.

However, I did updates this morning (all showing green) and the box stuck on boot. Eventually reflashed basebuild V7 and everything worked again. Looked at updates and still all showing green, so gave it another try. Box is stuck on boot again. There is something in the updates that is causing a problem. Anybody else having the same problem?

Thanks @rvpilot
It appears, like you say, there is a bad update causing this. Bad isn't really the right word, but bad in terms of you don't want it.

DO NOT run software updates at present until further notice
even though it says safe to do so.

It is possible that this will be resolved by openATV but if not all images will need updating. This will apply to any image using OpenATV 6.1, not just WB.

We will sit tight for a little while and see what the outcome is.

I have never used it but it won't get installed again unless you install it. It is part of your complete backup though but that would take you back to your previous WB version.

I don't even know if it is a generic plugin for all or iptv provider specific. If it is generic I can add it to WB so it can be installed easily from plugins. I would just need the link to the ipk
The IPTV stuff worked after the upgrade - nothing else to do to get it going - Bonus!

Glad it wasn't my fingers causing the problem then - makes a change.

I have just got cought out by this bad update as well. Wish i had read this page before updating. Stuck on boot. Does this mean that i have to now download wooshbuild 7 and re flash a basebuild??

Looks like it. I got caught first thing this morning. Just had to do a restore.

So how do you do a restore when stuck in boot??
I backed my box up to hdd before upgrading to V7 but have no idea how to restore the old image.

I am afraid so. This is where a complete backup is always worth having.

How to make a complete backup
To make a complete backup, get a spare USB stick (even 4gb will do)
Format it on your computer to normal fat32
Stick it in your working box: Blue button -> Complete Backup -> Green button (USB)

It can take 10 mins or so to backup so be patient. When it has finished, keep this stick somewhere safe.

To use the complete backup to restore your box...
Insert into usb of box, turn the box on and on a zgemma box you will need to press the front power button when the display says USB or UPDT

It will then flash the box back to the second you created the backup.
