Help with VPN set up....

THis guide worked a month or two back, but since upgrading to wb7 this weekend openvpn will not auto start. I have tried installing the files from scratch but I still have to manually start it.

Did you get anywhere?

I tried doing this at the weekend using new OpenATV daily image. Could not get it to work wiith IPVanish. According to the log, I kept getting an AUTH_FAILED error despite resetting my SOCKS password on the IPVanish website numerous times.

As a test, I also purchased Private Internet Access (PIA). Same method for installation. Been working fine since.

Also just be careful to use an up to date image. Could not get PIA to work with older image but worked fine with a newer one. Not sure whether OpenVPN protocol been updated or what.

IPVanish works just fine on ZGemmas H2s. I can't vouch for the latest Woosh, I am running it on Woosh 5.3

Check the IPVanish log files to see what errors it is giving.

Hi trying to set up ipvanish VPN on my H2S via OpenVPN using this guide...
https://www.tech2guides.co.uk/how-to-setup-vpn-on-enigma2-openatv/

Everything installs as it should but when I press green button to start the VPN it don't start, if I repeatedly press the green button it starts but stops again after a few seconds, any help greatly appreciated.

I know user's like to use there own setup but why not give Wooshbuild v7 and the woosh vpn plugin a try ? Its so easy to set up just download the Wooshbuild v7 basebuild flash your box, Then go into plugins, Download plugins, Look for woosh plugin and get vpn plugin 1.02, Then go here

https://digibitdesign.com/whmcs/aff.php?aff=70

And sign up to DigibitVPN (£2.50 A Month)
Once you have done this they will email you your username and password Add your username (and crucially) the password THEY EMAIL you. Not the password you signed up with to the Woosh VPN plugin, And your all done happy days sports again

Is your ip loking like this
192.342.0.67

Or like this
c23:654:ba43:666:

Also are you with vm using the super hub 3 or 6 ??

superhub 3 and looks like 192.168.0.10

Thats your problem mate you can not add a vpn to the super hub 3 or 6, You need to phone vm to get the vpn added, They will ask you for the mac address you want to add vpn to, So make sure you change the name of your box before phoning them, If you still got the hub 2 use it the service will be the same

Hi checked several times, the vpn icon changes from red to green so assuming it's ok, the current IP address does not change
Vpn icon turns from red to green regardless of a successful connection. It states in the instructions in the plugin. Depending what version you have it doesn't change the display ip either, this was resolved on the new release yesterday I think.
