Hi, i have it set up to sky fta channels into vm. How do i get it to replace all cable channels that are fta on sky. It has done channels 1 to 5 and itv channels but not any others

Hi I have a thread for the Sky FTA into Vm UK custommix thread here http://www.techkings.org/threads/cable-and-freesat-custommix.127082/#post-740184

It should swap all available Sky FTA channels with virgin. Can you double check if it's still the same post in the above thread with your ABM providers settings

yes check but still same. Dont understand why its only swopped the ones mentioned and maybe a couple others. All the sky fta channnel are there if check (yellow button) providers/bskyb folder

Sorry for some reason that thread has been locked and I'm not sure why. I have just checked and all seems fine.

If you use TV button for channel selection screen then in a bouquet press menu then configuration and change show service type icons: Left from servicename it should show sat and cable icons. That way you will be able to tell if they have been swapped.

Ok let's go through your settings.

ABM CustomMix Importer has dsayers Sky FTA into Virgin media UK and yellow to fetch file.

Now ABM settings

ABM Providers Setup screen:

Sly Roi: No

Sky UK: Yes
Sky UK: area - London Custom (Use your area CUSTOM OR SD Not HD)
Sky UK: FTA only - No (optional)
Sky UK: generate main bouquets - Yes (optional if you want all channels bouquet and recording)
Sky UK: generate sections bouquets - no
Sky UK: generate HD bouquet - no
Sky UK: generate FTA bouquet - no
Sky UK: generate FTA HD bouquet - no
Sky Uk: swap channels - Yes (If you want channel 1 to 5 HD turn to no if you want SD first)


Virgin UK: Yes
Virgin UK: area - set to YOUR area
Virgin UK: FTA only - No
Virgin UK: generate main bouquet - yes
Virgin UK: generate sections bouquets - yes
Virgin UK: generate HD bouquets - Yes (Optional)
Virgin UK: generate FTA bouquets - Yes (Optional)
Virgin UK: generate FTA HD bouquet - yes (Optioanl)
----------------------------------------------------------
ABM configure screen:
Include 'not indexed' channels - Yes
----------------------------------------------------------
Providers order Vergin UK on top

If all is correct and rescan ABM it should swap the channels in my custommix files.

If you still get the same can you post screen shots of your ABM providers settings and ABM providers order.


I'll be going to work soon so I might not be able to reply till tomorrow.
 
Yes configs are correct. The channels that have not swapped are not in your
cable_uk_virgin_CustomMix.xml.

Sorry I thought that you meant channels haven't swapped that are in my custommix.

I need to add any swaps that are missing, can you tell me the the channel names and if possible the Sky and Virgin channel numbers and I'll try to add them over the weekend. Thanks

Hi found some errors. Channels 115,118,119,120 have been change from sd to sky equivalent hd. 142 e4+1 been swopped to ABN tv and 147 been changed to BEN. 106 E4, 127 dave, 172 Quest and 173 Quest +1 not swopped. 147 More4 and 545 MotorsportsTV are missing. 4seven and S4C Hd are in sports section

Ok for the ITV issues change Sky Uk your area HD with Sky UK channel swap to no then Virgin UK swap yes or no depending if you want Virgin HD first or Sky SD first. Ill have a look at the other channels
