Plusnet is blocking my iptv i get to watch a few mins then it freezes i have to change channel and pick another from the list
Ive tried the box at another house with different internet provider and its fine
Thanks

If your isp is blocking you, you’ll get a blank screen. Freezing is usually to do with your set up or iptv sub.

The box plays fine at a friends house with a different isp provider no settings changed
At my house box will play channel for about a minuet then freeze the only way then is change channel
I cant see it being set up or sub

So if you change channel and then it works before freezing again it has to be your set up or sub. If it’s an isp block it would be a blank screen.

Edit:- if you’ve convinced yourself it’s an isp block, get a VPN.

Meadow24, had the same problems, you have not said what speed internet you have in your house and also if you are using the plusnet router. I had changed my router because of packet lost but plusnet wouldn't do anything about it, I have also got a VPN up and running because of the EPL blocking and everything is working fine....

Im using the plusnet router getting speeds of 35mbs i dont want to go to vpn route as it slows internet speed down
Maybe i will try another router

With the right VPN provider you will not notice it slowing down, also you apply the VPN per a device so I only have this on tv boxes and iPads run off the pure Internet. If you look on the error logs on the router this might give you some idea what the problem was, my router also had the tendency to release and renew IP address every 4 hours, although in the dhcp setup it was set at 21 days lease time....

I have a lot of stuttering on my IPTV at peak times and I use plusnet, my provider sent me a link that tests my Internet speed and the reason it happens is that my Internet speed is going up and down massively in short spaces of time

https://www.battleforthenet.com/internethealthtest/

Try that link next time it's doing it... mine goes from 55mbps to 1mbps and everywhere in between in a short space of time.

I know it's an issue at my end and not with the streams or provider as he's got a group chat and other people don't have the issues.

if you have tried the box at a friends house with the exact same settings then you know its a network issue at your house
either an ISP issue, or your network [and/or router] settings are wrong
so without some more info, nobody can help you

plusnet are blocking customers using iptv, they do it to me, ive even been in contact with them over it,but they refuse to confirm what they are doing.

I don't think that link gives you correct info, I have ran two back to back test and got very different results

The first test you did, if I run that when I'm having issues it gives me four readings taken in succession and shows that my internet speed is all over the place - if I run it when I'm not having issues it gives me the average speed. The last time I ran it having issues the readings were 0.86mbps 31.54mbps 1.51mbps and 9.77mbps so whilst it might not be an accurate test it's pretty fair to say my speeds are all over the place.

that would look like upload Vs download speed so might be pretty close
is anything else connected to your network at the same time.?
you have to do a speed test with your network isolated

Yeah that's what plusnet want me to do - hard work finding a minute where nobody needs to use the internet, especially when it's happening at peak times.

And those four were all download speeds, the upload speeds on the same test were 18.05 14.71 17.48 and 17.83

you can only do a speed test if its isolated
anything else is a waste of time

I'll have to put my foot down with a firm hand the next time it's happening then.

yep
I get about 17-18
done a test earlier and got 13 in the shed, probably a bit of loss through 3 routers and a download i was doing
I just done a test and its come back at 2.1
the kids are on youtube and the wife on netflix
if anything else is on internet the test is worthless

Then I need to start confiscating devices when the football's on haha
