Need some advice been reading through the forum but can't find a definitive answer. I was thinking of switching to IPTV before the big N3 turn off. My question is what box should I get? Some people say MAG is the best and some say firebox. I'm confused please help, there's far to much choice.

I want something running android OS that I can have a EPG function(this is a must) and a VPN option. (Which if droid is no big deal I can apk that in myself)?
 
How about firetv box. can use it for many things apart from iptv.

can use smart iptv / stb emu / perfect player so you got lots of options with it

ive never seen anyone install apk on mags it might be possible but i thought if comes as it is

My ISP's router wont support a VPN but I can get a droid VPN which is why I was looking for a droid os.

Your advice is spot on, I've got a mag 256 and fire tv box, the fire tv box you've got more options with this and can load a VPN onto it if needed, you can't with a mag box

My 256 took to turning itself off then remote worked on a 3 day week.. i sent it back
To wos... Replaced it with a mag 322
Works 100% the red power light instead of been red on stand by. is blue
Apart from that i cannot fault it .
The 322 is slightly quicker than 254
