Has anyone had a problem with SmartSTB App once its been paid for? Trial worked fine but when paid for it, initially got the demo channels only. Changed the address of the portal in the App on the TV, now it streams for 10 seconds then goes black screen. Almost like provider is blocking as a duplicate MAC on same subscription. Provider is very helpful and has confirmed the MAC is correct and even offered to change it on their system if I wanted.

Would ideally like to load stbemu onto the TV but dont think LG support it.
 
Stb emu isnt available on lg mate. You could download stb emu on android device, clone the mac and try it. That will rule out tv issues.. Make sure you turn tv off if you try this, so server doesnt see 2 connections

Smart STB is available for LG smart tv, I've got it installed on mine.

Its a mates TV. Ive got a stbemu on my phone, will add the MAC to that as a new profile. to test it.

I know they are for different platforms but someone I know suggested the stbemu was now available for LG. They are mistaken, which is a pity as stbemu is much easier to work with and allows multiple providers concurrently on it, where as SmartSTB your stuck with one, when it decides to work. :(
 
So I tested the MAC on the stbemu app on my phone and works perfectly. Just wont stay connected on SmartSTB app.
 
Tokentim have you tried completely uninstalling the app and reloading it all back on? I know I sounds basic but ive seen it many times where this works!
 
Thats the next step. The TV is nearly 70 miles away so trying to sort it over the phone. Ive messaged SmartSTB support, waiting for a reply. Thanks.
