Got a problem on my box where after an update on scan I get ‘tuner c failed’. Bit of background -

I was running on a older open atv and whooshbuild so I reflashed to atv 6.1 and whooshbuild infinity. I started a fresh build and have tried all the different things in autobouquets ensuring my netid is aligned between both tuners, tried switching off one tuner (A) and (A,C) still having no luck. Have also tried Manual search.

Having researched about the issue It seems to be something other people have experienced too - but I have not been able to find a resolution. Can anyone help?

If it were mine, I'd reflash but just enable one cable tuner, forget the others for now, set them to not configured.
the one that you set up for cable, don't put any info in, just leave it as it is - my cable tuner is set to Andorra as country and there's no other info in there apart from enabled.
put netid and provider in ABM and perform a scan
 
Going by your other thread, it could be a signal issue. Either too much or too little power.

Forget AutoBouquetsMaker for the time being. Do the following for now.
Make sure the power switch is still off.
Set your tuner configuration for both the Cable tuners to the following:
Network ID: 00000
Country: UK
Region: Virgin media UK (all systems)

Go into manual scan
Select a cable tuner
Type of scan : complete
Network scan : yes
Then scan.

Do you get a working BBC 2 (not HD)?

If you do, restart then attach your lamedb file here.

You can also run the NITAnalyser tool and post output here
 
Pablo - tried this to no avail

Abu - just run the scan on one of the cable tuners found 0 channels.
 
Any suggestions to help troubleshoot? Could I still run the nitanalyser tool even if I’m getting no channels found? Cheers
 
we only have internet as a vrgin product in the house. That’s working fine..

I’ll pop the old vrgin box to see if it works
 
check the power levels in the router
on the side or bottom of the router there should be a 'settings password'
type 192.168.0.1 into a browser and click enter, use that password to log into the router

go to advanced settings
tools>network status> click on downstream tab
copy and paste the snr and dbmv data here

That proves you signal to the hose is still active.

Whether it is adequate or not is another matter. They usually balance it for the equipment on hire from them. Continue to fault find by testing the variables mentioned above one at a time.

Simplest test is to remove splitter and connect direct to the main signal wire. Yes, you will lose internet but it will only be for a few minutes.

power levels aren't good, they should be between -6 and 10, one of yours is above this, one slightly under and the rest are hovering around 9.2 - 9.6

The dbmv are mostly around 35 - 36 and they should be preferably 38 or higher

I'd ring VM and tell them there's a problem with the connection, tell them that online gaming is becoming impossible and you want the connection sorting out

with direct connection i scanned two channels (V005 and V019) but cant see any image...
