Recommended IPTV Set up

Hi, I currently already have an IPTV sub and set up however just wanted to see if anyone would recommend getting a dedicated android box to improve the performance.

Current set up -
Running a VM cable line sub using Perfect Player which is installed on my android TV (approx 2 years old) . Directly connected to my router and has approx 100mb download, 5mb upload.

I'm happy with the Perfect Player GUI and how easy it is to use, also the line I'm subbed for seems to be decent enough however Internet can be a bit temperamental (trying to sort this out at the moment).

I know often that as well as the line and Internet quality, the hardware that you're running it on is just as important (RAM and processor) so...
1. Would anyone recommend getting a seperate dedicated android box? Purely from the performance aspect.
2. If the above answer is no (or even if it's a yes), is there many other non-perfect player setups which will offer much more in regards to performance?

Thanks in advance!

If you have VM broadband I would get a cable box and run that, it is generally
more stable than IPTV.

You need to have about 15Mb to run IPTV in my experience, some say as low a 6Mb, so if it's glitchy it's probably down to your provider as you have 100Mb coming in.
Also, just because it says it's HD doesn't make it true, streams are compressed.

If you suspect the problems are down to your hardware I run a T95Zplus so
I would go for any 3Gb Ram android box, it works ok but my server supplies
sat/cable/IPTV lines and the cable lines are the most stable and have the best picture quality by far.

Thanks for the quick response!

I've only been on IPTV for approx. 6 months and was on a cable sub before that for quite some time. The reason I moved over to IPTV was because the cable sub (and all subs I believe) lost the Sky Sports HD channels and there were some talks of other HD channels going, I believe the Sky Sports ones are still not working across all cable subs however it'd be interesting to see if you're experiencing the same issue. Also the other benefit of IPTV was the additional channels - VOD, 3pm football, American TV channels however these aren't show stoppers if I didn't have them so would take stability of the usual VM channels over having the additional ones.

I'll also have a look into the 3gb hardware requirements, got a feeling my TV has that already so it seems like it's most likely just the general stability and quality difference between a cable sub and IPTV.
