Apologies in advance

I acquired a lot of dji osmo mobile 3's. Waited until ebay selling fees were £1.00.
I got back onshore this morning turned my phone on, a bloke who bought a device off me wanted a return after 6 weeks.
Reason being a small retaining cap worth 50p had fallen off.

I offered to replace the cap. Nope he wanted a full refund. As ebay policies state if you return an item it has to be returned within 30 days.

Case closed.

Now PayPal take a different view, I have to put my case forward or the buyer gets a full refund. I know their 2 different companies now, I cant win as PayPal always side with the buyer, the items sold were Factory sealed, and why wait 6 weeks to complain. ?

I used to think that but if you manage to contact PayPal by phone customer services and put a Good case forward they can be quite sympathetic!! I have done it twice now dealing with idiots and they both times come to my side of the argument especially with the time issue!!

Spoken to Ebay yesterday they said as the item was Factory Sealed, and used for 6 weeks case closed, my mrs is an accounting fraud investigator for a university, she. Immediately looked on PayPal. There was a dispute escalated. I have photograph of the osmo Boxed unopened, receipts, and forwarded to PayPal. The case handler was impartial, but said he would over see the case.
Even when I lose, which is inevitable, once item is received I can claim against PayPal. As long as I have evidence the goods have not been returned in the condition sent.

As I knew the outcome. PayPal have issued a return of the dji osmo mobile 3.. on return i can dispute the returns as the item was not returned in the Condition it was sent out.. ebay confirmed they have a slush fund aside to help Genuine cases.
( that's not in Ebay's t&c's.)
It's not the money is purely principle. PayPal actually said I have no rights as a seller, unless the item is defective on receipt, or not delivered.

i bought 2 motorcycle headsets , they were advertised as intercoms , they wernt , they were stand alone bluetooth units, they still play music from your phone, answer calls , last number redial , fm radio etc, but no use to me ( although might pop one on the go to work helmet ) anyway i phoned paypal & explained that it was not as advertised & also it was based in china although i ALWAYS search uk only , got a full refund & have the 2 sets in the cupboard , no hassle at all , they said they also take a very dim view on location fraud & will look into it

As a buyer you cannot lose, The seller has very little protection
My dji osmo 3's I sold were priced @ £145.00, 20 in total were sold.. The buyer has told me the item has multiple scratches as well as a retaining plastic cover missing and is returning the osmo.6 weeks later. paypal will reimburse the c@@t once I confirm the item has been received .

Maybe its worth looking at the other payment options ebay uses and in your listing say you do not accept paypal

Nah that's me finished on ebay..14 years. I will still.have the option of a dispute as the item will be returned broken. I know it's broken as dji refused to repair the device due to Condition it was recieved . ( that's why the buyer wants a refund) he thought a Warrenty claim would work. It was dismissed.. All.my items were Factory Sealed Brand new

Thats the only problem with paypal now, everybody knows how to play it and they know they will be backed as a buyer, paypal is only any good if you get payment as a gift. Some people do take the piss as well,More than likely its been dropped and now its broke want to send it back,Hope your persistent with paypal and dont take No for a answer the funking barstewards

Ebay closed the case against myself.. I spoke to an advisor as I sell high value items they didn't want to lose myself as a customer.. so I have 2 options.
I can take multiple photos to show the item is beyond repair..
Or make a short video highlighting the defects..I will be reimbursed @ some point, but this clown is free to rip off other sellers.. the buyer even threatened myself with legal rubbish if I contact him again.

Ebay is a joke and Paypal even more so.

Years ago sold something on there, think was pots/pan set then after 5 months said wanted refund as they are damaged.

Done everything to fight it but Paypal without hesitation favorured him. Lost quite a bit.

Karma is a b*tch and these scum of the earth scammers/fraudster who screw over people will get their comeuppance.

I have just had a look through paypal and they will refund you upto six months after purchase, the only way round it is not to use paypal and take cash only on pickup. You think ebay would be onto this and drop paypal.

Yep that 6 month period is an absolute farce.

Paypal and ebay only care about the money and more importantly protecting buyers.

As far as they are concerned sellers can do one.

I have never sold anything on ebay, l couldn't be bothered with the hassle although l carefully buy quite a lot from there. l would sooner give it to scrap man. Having said that l have some patient/carer assistance equipment i will dig out for freeby section.

The hassle I have had with a Ebay user & PayPal has taken a twist..

Could the bloke be any more stupid this is my osmo mobile he is talking about
Please check the link. Will PayPal now listen to me after reviewing this video
