Hi all looking at getting rid of virgin media and having IPTV. I've looked at a few android boxes, not sure which is the best to get. I want to be able to watch sports, movies, box sets, kids channels.

Tonnes of apps to run on it
Great for gaming and retro emulators etc
But the burning question is the budget you want to spend because they aint cheap 👍

Xr4000 is a good box from buzztv the only downfall at moment is there is no updates for it a couple of people I know have them quick on zapping channels vod at press of a button and from what I've seen and heard handle iptv really well

Everyone’s has their own opinions but for cheapness and simplicity the mag box is the way to go. Yes yes I’ve heard about the informir block but all I can say is 12 boxes 2 years no trouble.

Simplicity ease of use mag. I used a 250 for plex 2014. After the demise of cardshare. I am positive I still have it somewhere.
254/256/322. A couple of formuler boxs,Minix neo latest being z8. Took 10 mins from out the box to Connection. A lot more user friendly, but for asking price and black friday approaching, you may want to consider a shield..
And finally your provider is the key, regardless off what box you decide upon.. I would settle for a mag 250 with a decent provider, rather than a nvidea shield with a poor service..

Depends what you want it for! Example gaming ect or just purely for iptv!
Fire tv box or 4k Firestick is plenty just to run iptv. In my opinion by the way lol...

Only downside to a mag box is if you require a vpn then you also need a vpn router.

Never needed a vpn for my mag boxes, just get yourself a decent provider they’ll do it their end.

I also think for the money the firestick 4k is perfect for IPTV, have set a few up for people and its so simple.

4k fire stick - vale for money - or push the boat out for a nvidia shield or formuler z8

The downside of the firestick is it's so easy,no challenge at all. Even for us old farts.
