New to Streamio

Evening all,

Ive invested in some new hardware oled tv mid range soundbar and formuler z12 and want to take advantage of the tech ive bought when watching movies, im really happy with the upgrade on live tv with the z12.

I have done a bit of research about streamio and seems you can get movies in hdr which sounds like what im after.

I spent a bit of time today setting it up and adding the torrentio and piratebay+ addons Ive not gone down the route of RD as yet as want to see if it is any different to the quality that I get from my providers VOD.

I have 350mb and used a vpn as I don't have an RD setup but just couldn't get anything to play without quite a bit of loading and without constant buffering when it did.

I'm a complete noob on this atm so be gentle am I missing something in the setup or settings is this because I dont have an RD and is it as night and day as people say when I use one.

What have you got it setup with in regards to addons etc and how do you know which stream to pick from.

Any advice or guides from your experience?

You are missing a Debrid service and using p2p torrents and they are not premium links like you would get with a Debrid service.
You will get high quality files hosted by a Debrid service instead of p2p seeders that can be hit and miss.
I haven’t used free p2p links in over ten years so I don’t know how reliable they are now, but I do know that Debrid services are way more reliable from using them for the last ten years.

You definitely need a Debrid act to take full advantage of the streams , especially if you want watch a high quality HDR file etc
Ad mentioned above and similar you you where to use Syncler+ ( this is a paid service) where as stremio is free and you'd still need a debrid act in top.
Take your pick
stremio with debrid
Kodi with debrid
Syncler+ with debrid.
Then you also have your IPTV and Vod .

As a fee have said with a Debrid linked to Stremio your not going to get the experience you want. If you want to test then get 30day sub from RD and see how you get on. Links wise way you setup the addon filter option will provide u with 4k links and identify which are HDR etc
