4 Bad Blocks message

Strangely

Newbie
Whilst trying to install wooshbuild V5 i noticed in the progress execution a message saying (4 bad blocks+something else, non critical if unchanged, i think. Everything seemed to be going fine and then nothing and the tv starts showing (no Signal Message). If i re-boot i get the wooshbuild screen with the satellite pg monkey (including the revolving update icon) and then nothing again (just a blank screen and the (no signal message). i am starting to think that maybe the hard drive has a fault in it, any ideas or suggestion would be great appreciated.

Just to put your mind at rest I also had the exact same message on my zgemma when installing wooshbuild it did not affect it working so is not the problem.Have you got a picture on your free channels ie Bbc1

Flash chips will always have a few bad blocks due to the way they are made.
Its nothing to worry about, in fact I would be more worried if a flash chip had no bad blocks.

Thanks for the replies but, that still doesn't explain why after following all the easy set-up prompts and base build has installed, i can't see anything at all except the "No Signal" dialogue box floating around on the screen. If i plug in the Freesat box using the same HDMI cable and, ethernet cable, everything works just fine.

Doesnt the install guide actually tell you to expect the bad block message and to just ignore it????

OK so today i have a day off and some time to myself, so i power up the H2s do a factory reset to get back to openatv and mange to get a 11 channel EPG but, no sound. After dicking around for a while i manage to get sound back, so thinking logically i get the USB drive that i used last time open it up and find to my horror that i had put thee base build file onto the pen drive.
Removed the folder opened it put the zgemma and misc files back on the drive stuck it into Gemma and waited with baited breath whilst Wooshbuild did its thing. The box box is now working perfectly with all channels viewable, now i have to figure out how to cut, copy & paste all the hair out of the waste paper bin back on to my head.
Thanks to everyone for their suggestions and help, sometimes it just helps to sit back take stock and slowly but surely try to work through it logically piece by piece.

Cheers Guy's

Freaking Hell,
Her indoors came back earlier, so i dragged her upstairs to show her my handy work and, knock me down with a feather, when i power up the H2s there is nothing. The image is not there, i have just finished re-flashing and got it back with all the channels, i have done a settings back up but am now scared to switch it off so, for the moment i am going to leave it on, does any one have any ideas as to what might have happened and what i can do to stop it happening again.
