ahh well we tried to teach how to chose a better path for some reason many stray of the beaten track.:no no::whistling:
 
hey all, sitting patiently waiting on kv hopefully updating again, wether it happens or not im not too sure. have started to consider the zgemma, i here a lot about itand just wondered about the sub, is there only one supplier for a sub or is there lots to choose from and if so what is most recommended, im on virgin. i also use kodi on a couple of devices and wonder what you think a paid sub on kodi would be like compared to the zgemma, im assuming the zgemma will be much better and more reliable but i just dont know. P.S. i seen ted post the other day about being able to fix someones kv and load up firmware but if the servers are still down would there be any point in that, unless of course they are definately coming back. what are you guys epert opinions, do you think this is finally the end for kv or just another festive season downtime for the guys that run it.

Hi, many thanks to you and those like you who have kept so many going with kv. If I understand you right perhaps time to move on. No complaints has been a brilliant ride. Thank you kv. Because I was born too early!! Cannot get my head around things so easy. I am looking at the Miracle of mini. I will take a chance on setting it up. Before I purchase could you please answer the following. USB hard drive preformatted, buy for recording. Firmware, Open Vix yes. USB storage purchase 8GB USB. USB WiFi is this required? Finally will I require any networking plugs.l apologise if these questions seem silly but I am sure there are others who would use your information. Once again many thanks.

Ukoklaur, I dont own a miracle box my self and just know what i have read up about, but i will try to answer some of your questions.
1. you do not need a preformatted hard drive unless you want to record tv and save it.
2. firmware yes get it with openvix
3. usb storage 8gb will be needed
4.Network plugs, no you do not need these if you have been using the KV box untill now, without network plugs, you can just use an ethernet cable from the miracle box to your router/superhub.
 
I'd like it to come back on, life was simpler then ha ha

If not its no big deal.

Been a good few years and I've had my monies worth lol

If you bought your box from world of satellite then you should have already specified the openVIX image to be installed which means no firmware updates required Tom.

bloody hell 9 years that must be a good run for the old box and saved a fortune,i know of no new updates as of yet =all blank screens.
that will hurt many sv owners;)

ye i was thinking the exact same thing, sure last year it was down for a few weeks around this time of year, what we can take from that is not much realistically, depends how optimistic you are really. i can go without my box for a few more weeks before buying anything new so i will just sit patiently and wait and hope. fingers crossed
