Hi all, yesterday I was watchin the derby game with friends on sky sports but the game did not stop buffering. I know its not the line as me mate was watching it in a different house watched it fine.

He uses a t95 box where as I'm on firestick 4k.

Is this the reason??

Btw we're both on virgin Broad with 90+ download speed.....

Appreciate any advice???

Start with basics.

(TURN IT OFF AND ON)
reboot your router (switch off for 5 mins)
reboot your device ( switch off at power)

try different app.
try with VPN on ( different locations)
try on your phone (mobile data - see if issue is your internet)
hardwire your device if possible.

check you are not logged into more apps, than connections on your line (will cause buffering)

Firestick is fine for iptv.

So I pretty much did all you suggested, hard wired, rebooting all devices, and then even on moby 4g hotspot, nothing worked.

I do often question vm and 2ounder if I can actually trust the speeds they claim, Don speed test which seems fine......

Clear the cache on firestick.
Needs doing regularly.
Check with your friend if he is using a VPN or not, if he's not, make sure you aren't using one, some providers don't allow them.
In general, I never watch football on sky or BT.
It's always on other channels and the streams are usually a lot better, check if your friend was watching it on the same channel as you, chances are he wasn't.

I would use a vpn first as virgin do throttle and block iptv providers.
 
Yep, so he wasn't using a vpn, we used the same channel, but yeh i also tried the others, including the non sky ones.

Only thing not done was clear the cache......
 
quite a bit depends on the providers and what security they have in place. if you use a VPN with some services they just wont work others it dosent matter. Looking at the box it is in the budget range although the specs look good the inner workings will be made from cheap parts. Maybe a good idea to test with a firestick or firecube.
 
They dont throttle mate. my speed is pretty much consistent with virgin. Always around 200-215 meg
 
Get the Amazon ethanet adaptor and hardwire your firestick if possible as you will get direct speeds from the router
 
Is ip flooding and ipv6 turned off on your router.
Does the vm hub do the 2.4ghz and 5ghz Ssid try disabling the 5ghz see if that helps
