Aiden McGeady will miss next week's Republic of Ireland's friendlies as he is struggling with an injury.
The Celtic midfielder picked up a knee ligament injury and will not be fit to play in either of Giovanni Trapattoni's sides for the upcoming fixtures.
Ireland face Paraguay on Tuesday 25 May at the RDS and then take on Algeria three days later at the same venue.
