The advantage of non geographic number ranges such as 0800 numbers, 0844 numbers, 0845 numbers, 0871 numbers etc. is that they can be overlaid on your existing telephone number. Even though you change your service provider and the telephone number changes, the non geographic number remains the same. <o>:p></o>:p>

People can reach you on your telephone either by dialling the advertised business number or by dialling your actual telephone number directly. Particularly for small businesses, you may just have one telephone that you use to answer your business and personal calls. If it is a business call, you must answer in a crisp and professional manner. If it is your friends or family who are calling, you need not get all serious on the call. But how do you know who is calling?<o>:p></o>:p>

Force caller ID is a feature that allows you to distinguish between a caller who has dialled the business number and one who has dialled your actual mobile or landline number. So if the caller has dialled your 08 number, you may answer in a crisp, professional and business like manner and if it is not a business caller, you can answer the call in an informal manner.<o>:p></o>:p>
