App finding a program

How does one find an app that lists tv episodes i have missed, getting around to view old recordings but missing a few at the start.

If i wait long enough the repeats might start again but not found it yet.

With so many apps out there how does one know where to look for english results and hd and tv shows.

Myself if I want to watch anything,I download them from piratebay then put it in a folder on my laptop.then with Plex use the fire stick to play them,Before the firestick I would just FTP the file to the zgemma HDD and use the built in media player to watch them,or once on the zgemma HDD the smart TV would play them also over the network.

I used something before but it too ages to download and not downloaded anything for a long while.
