Auto timer update to timers

Hi everyone, still trying to get my head around autotimers and timers.

I have added autotimers for the Mrs' soaps which hasn't been set to record said program at any day / anytime on a certain channel.

Last night my EPG was populated up until next Thursday so the autotimer added timers for up to Thursday.

Now said soaps are also on a Friday, EPG updated lastnight to now show Friday but timer was still only reporting up until Thursday.

When should the autotimer update timers to add fresh episodes?
 
if i was doing a soap, which i wouldnt be
i would set a timer and set it to repeat, on weekdays
as they are normal on the same time

auto timers isnt that great in my opinion

if you have a tablet, phone or computer, openwebif will give more options and easy layout
 
I was kind of hoping to use the autotimer as occasionally the soaps do change time that they're on or length for hour specials etc.

The autotimer adds new timers up if I go in and save autotimer but was wondering if there was an automated process to do this.
 
col then keep messing with it to make it work your way
you will need to mess in its options to get it working your way

it can be done just a pain, but the options are there to be changed

I've managed to find an option to auto poll every x hours in the webif for autotimers so hopefully that'll poll the EPG and add new timers.

On a german forum there is a plugin called EPG-Refresh which has the option to update autotimers after a EPG Refresh but ive no idea if EPG-Refresh should be used in conjunction with EPG-Importer or instead of it.
 
Ah ok thanks Gibbletts.

For anybody who is interest I changed the auto poll on Autotimers from 240hrs to 24hrs and it now seems to be populating when the EPG updates.

Interesting. Never spotted this setting. Where is it mate???

Oh yeah on your box in autotimers if you press menu I think it's in there with a few other settings you can easily forget about. You can set default parameters on all your future autotimers too if you choose say the same 1 or 2 settings all the time no matter what you tend to record...

Yes I've just noticed this now, on webif it states the time is in hours, but on the autotimer settings via menu is states the time is in minutes.

Very strange, no idea which it is, hours or minutes.
