Not content with putting up TV licence fee. They are bringing out a a service similar to Netflix. Calling itself Britbox
Gotta say Genius, on behalf of BBC
Paying twice for a outdated service.

At least it's not a long rant lmao

Another example of the greedy getting even greedier, it used to be over here in N-Ireland, we did not need a tv licence , its just been since after the peace process began that they really pushed it on us in a big way, before then we never seen a TV licence van, but its not the case now, I came in from work one day about 15 years ago and the mrs told me she had took out a direct debit to pay for a licence, as they had been around the doors earlier that day, I wouldnt repeat the names I called her that day on here, but she still pays it every 3 months out of her account, Most of my family and friends have never had one either and never had any hassle from anyone knocking on their doors to find out why not.

So they already have us version and doing one for the UK? Are we going to see a price reduction in licence or even removed?

BritBox will mainly feature archive BBC and ITVshows, alongside new British commissions made especially for the service. There were no details on pricing; the announcement said it would be “competitive”.
