Cable benifit of updating vix?

hi there , looking to find out if its worthwhile updating my zgemma from scumnsee 3.2 005 to the latest? i see the latest is still 3.2 does this mean the main firmware is the same but all updates from 005 to 036 are just minor tweaks plus skin, or is there bug fixes etc? if so is it possible to update and keep my settings or will i have to backup settings ? thanks
 
You can backup your settings and restore them.
Theres not an awful lot of difference, just some EPG Channel numbers added.
 
cheers mate, ill just leave it. just changed to blue hd skin, find it better than the one on scumnsees image i have. was hoping updating might help with the slow interface, and the occasional crashing
 
Yeah try keep the plugins to bare minimal, prevents crashing a lot.
If it is a problem then o would suggest updating mate, is worth a try.

No the slow interface is hardware based. H2h much faster.
Occasional crashing? Only time i ever see a crash is exiting too quickly through multiple menus. Or whens it happen to u?
 
Yep the h1 quote a slow box.
I would only have epg on there for best performance. No picons. No timeshift. No pluggins. Just the bog standard
Since I upgraded to H2h there is a major difference in perfermance, I have picons, timeshift, epg, and a few pluggins installed. Works flawlessly! Plus it doesnt take ages to boot, unlike the h1.
If it is bothering you that much i would upgrade to the h2h

sorry guys only just seen these replys . so the h1 is slow in general then? really frustrating. may have to flog it and buy better then, the h2 was just out when i bought it aswell but i couldnt find any solid evidence to say that zgemma actually made that box at the time, thought it was some chinese marketing lol
 
lol aye its mainly the epg thats frustrating, dont even bother using the media side, got pc hooked into tv anyway with kodi and for DL films for full effect. but when i got my box i was learning so just flashed with scumnsees image which is obviously loaded. started removing plugins now. no need for ts media and the likes. takes forever and awfull interface . thanks for the input mate, been trying to flash the newest imagae over ftp but aint working. but if its the hardware then ill give in haha
