Hi guys.
I'm looking to buy a 65 inch TV for around £700 stg or €800.
It's hard to go by reviews these days because some of them are paid advertisements.
Which 65 inch TV in your opinion is well worth it going by my budget?
Please give make and model number.
Also, which is your preference for good contrast and brightness, OLED or QLED?

My tips:
  • Buy from John Lewis or Richer Sounds - get them to price match and they have a generous warranty period/good customer service
  • If you have access to Student discount - the Samsung site via portal has some decent deals
  • If you have access to Costco also check there (decent deals also with 5 year warranty)
  • Ebay has a 15% off code from time to time on certain products/sellers
  • If you are not in a rush - consider waiting for Amazon/Prime day deals

I'm no expert on specs, etc but examples of Samsung TV's discounted via Student portal:

Thanks so much for your very detailed response.
Yes, OLED is out of my league.
I was just checking a Panasonic TV there.
It's Panasonic TX-65JX850B
The refresh rate is 60Hz.
I could be wrong but I'm thinking that the refresh rate doesn't matter unless you are gaming?

Thats a good tv and your right only for gaming, richer sounds have it for 769 but I think LG'S may have a sat tuner as well as freeview here is one

LG 65UP77006LB

and best of all you can compare them side by side.
