Stb is my preferred app, Depending on your type of subscription of course. Only downside to the stb app is your subscription is then locked to that device

Stb emu pro is solid, I find for pure performance it’s the best.

That’s down to your provider, some require vpn some don’t. Handy to have a vpn subscription incase of any isp blocks

I don’t find I need one as such but I always use one, especially for the sports in case of blocking.

I'm a STB emu pro fan. Looks well, performs well, easy to set up, navigate and use. Someone said before it's device locked but only with some services it is generally transferable . Only downside I find is you can't have a multiroom subscription so if you wanna use stb on two devices you'll require 2 subs

Also made me remember another set back to STB use.. if you get an stb sub you can't switch it and try with those different apps as it's Mac based.
Best to tial a regular sub and try out and switch between the range of apps see which you prefer.
Then maybe trial a mag sub for STB emu and see how you find it
Then make your decision
