Best Router/Nord/Tivimate Settings

Can anyone enlighten me on best settings for the above?

I'm using a 4k Max firestick.

I have Vodafone full fiber ( 150mbs download speed )

Would love some specialist input on beat settings to ensure I have optimal performance. Many thanks

I just changed the Vodafone router dns to cloudflare and don’t use a VPN. As for Tivimate settings they are just a personal preference.

Not sure if its still supplied, but that god awful black router they supply I binned off ASAP, especially as it was causing issues with my 4K firestick & Microsoft teams. Changed the router, all issues disappeared

Thanks Alex. What did you opt for?
TP link AC2100, brought it of ebay 18 months ago for £15, no doubt much better ones available but night and day to the Vodafone standard router, works well with the TP link booster I have also (odd shaped house).

I've got One of These they run on openwrt with an easy GUI or if you want you can flash it onto the latest openwrt.
You can load open vpn or wireguard and route which devices go through it. Theres also a setting for IPTV/VLAN but I have no clue if that will improve your IPTV maybe someone ele will know.

Can you confirm the exact changes you made please?
I have just accessed my router settings and it looks like a firmware update has changed my dns settings back to automatic for some reason but this is the procedure
To change your DNS on a Vodafone Hub, connect to the hub's network, then enter http://192.168.1.1/ into a web browser. Navigate to the "Internet" tab, select "DNS & DDNS" from the side menu, switch the DNS setting from automatic to manual, and input your desired primary and secondary DNS server addresses.

Step-by-step Guide
  1. 1. Connect to your Vodafone router's network:
Ensure your device is connected to the Wi-Fi network provided by your Vodafone Home Broadband router.

  2. 2. Access the router's administration page:
Open a web browser on your connected device and type http://192.168.1.1/ into the address bar.
    • Log in if prompted.

    • Look for an option to enable "Expert Mode" or find the "Settings" dropdown.

    • Click on the "Internet" tab.
  3. 4. Find the DNS & DDNS settings:
Select "DNS & DDNS" from the menu that appears on the side.
    • Change the dropdown menu from "Auto" or "Yes" to "Manual" or "No".

    • In the provided fields, enter your desired primary and secondary DNS server addresses.
  4. 6. Save and restart:
Click to save your changes. You may need to restart your router for the new settings to take full effect.
