Dam phone wont connect with router 3 feet away and have entered password 6 times and phone comes back with authentication issue ??
Previous phone connected ok so unsure of what i missed.

Try changing the Authentication Method in Router's Wireless Settings to WPA/WPA2-Personal with WPA Encryption TKIP+AES and then see if phone connects.

Power router off for 4 min
Phone too
Power router back on and wait for it to fully reboot.
Power on the phone and see if it connects

I have a wps button for pairing,not powered off router as recordings in progress on different boxes at different times lol.

Are you connecting to the right band,?
Sometimes my phone doesn't like 5GHz , BV5800

Bloody router locked out as never changed the password on the hub3 so cannot check what settings are present,laptop downstairs is connected on wifi.

Laptop as checked has the correct password to connect to internet but fails on login into the vm router.
