Hi, for what its worth i've just switched from a blade 7000s to the Alien 2, there is a huge difference between the STB's. For one, you get a dual tuner for the same price, as well as lots of different plugins (and they do work) As for the support being $h1t, well, its a new box, all support is slow to start, but, it will do anything and more than the BM7000 does and is dual boot (Spark / E2). Everyone has there own opinion and wants different things from a STB, ultimately its what suits your personal needs.

Hi bedz, As far as "stupid proof" goes it all depends on what you want to do with any stb, not just the two mentioned here. As far as which ones best, all a matter of personal preference and you want / need. If you're the sort who struggles setting these things up, why not speak to the supplier to see if they can do it for you, as most will require updating etc, although to some this is a very simple process on either of the stb's you mention and can be done "online" via the box for basic setup, other features will require you to do a little more. A good thing to do and deffo reccomended is to read thro all the forums you can regarding your choice of stb, if you can't find the answer then ask, you'll find people can be really friendly and helpful on forums and your knowledge will soon improve, after all, we all had to start somewhere :-)

Hey beds, Seeing you are new to this .. i suggest Blade 7000s. Its simple to setup and lots of info on it. good place to start learning from is this forum. .. Good luck and if stuck read and read the forum post then ask questions people will assist. .. Good Luck
