Cable Box glitching in one room and ok in another

I have 2 boxes set up at home. today one of the boxes started glitching. I couldnt change channel or move through menus. It wasnt responding to the remote and it would jump all the place. I figured the box had packed in so I went and got my other box and put that in and the same thing happened. I tried the original box in my other room and it was working fine. Both boxes in room one are jumping all over the place and fine in another room. Ive switched plugs to see if that would help but still getting glitch. anyone came across this before?

did you use same power adapter in the room where the box is causing issues

put both boxes on different static IP address and see if that fixes it?

are you using the same line on both boxes as most providers only let you use 1 line per box
