Can I use my remote on 2 different Skybox F5s?

Hi, going to a friends house soon and he has a skybox f5 like mine. His remote is broken so can I bring mine down and use it? or do I need to reprogram it? If so can anyone point me in the direction on how to do so :)

Skybox, Libertview and openbox remotes are all virtually the same and guess what? --they are all cheap on amazon or e-bay.
