Changed TV and no sound through HDMI

Using a new openbox.

I have just changed my tv to a new PANASONIC VIERA TX55CR730B.

I had an old LG LCD tv and all connections are exactly the same - it worked fine before (infact I have reconnected old tv and still works)

Picture is fine but I am getting no sound...

HELP!!

Its an openbox V8S that I have
 
I had same problem with a panasonic - sorted by Menu/Sound/ARC Output - change to HDMI2 (Hope it works for you)

Where about`s in the menu is that?

I have gone to menu - system setup - TV System - Digitak Audio Out and there are two options LPCM out and BS out - these are the only audio options I can find and have tried both without joy.

I have also tried all 3 HDMI slots and all the same pic but no sound - Ive also tried two different HDMI cables and same thing.

I tried all three HDMI slots and same outcome.

Is that TV options or the openbox options? I can`t really see any options on the openbox at all for audio bar optical audio out where there are two options neither of which work.

TV options wise all I can change is the HDMI from digital to analogue which also does not work!!

If I cannot get this to work then I may have to consider a different box - I am presuming a newer one will have more change of working i.e openbox 9-10

Will my gift still work the same if I change box?

How did you manage to get the sound working again on your TV. I have just bought a Panasonic TV and the same issue is occurring - I have video feed, but no audio. Have change HDMI etc and other troubleshooting. Also tried changing audio settings on Openbox

From what I remember I did it by going into the sound menu on the TV and changing the HDMI 1 to HDMI 2 or change it to the HDMI number socket you are attached to. Good Luck

If you haven't fixed it yet and tried all of these, see if you can go into setup (not sound) - then to HDMI input options - and change the 'mode' of the HDMI slot you are using from 1 to 2.
I know all Panasonic TV's are different but that's what fixed mine.
