My provider emailed to say that as far as they're concerned it looks like the rumours are true, they concede there's not likely to be anything they can do. It's one of the larger operations AFAIK.

I have skybox f5s tried to add that TP thing. (new to this stuff) but when adding it it wanted Frequence first, which i input as: 11604. The second box asks for Symbol rate to which i entered: 29500. The last thing was polarity which I left at H. I did a scan but found no channels. Did i do something wrong with the info above: "BT Sport 1 & 2 HD and ESPN are still there but have moved to 11604 V 29500 3/4"

*EDIT I changed polarity to 'V' and it found the channels :)

a simple " re need your old box back or you will not get any channels " will work.

i wonder if anyone is still on the old white boxes lol

You would be surprised how many still have the old boxes as they don't have/need HD TV's or even want to record with the SKY+ service etc....rumoured to be 3-4 million viewers with old boxes and SKY would have to foot the bill if the force subscribers to change the box as its a contract change...so even if the trade cost of the boxes where £100 and then add in the install costs they would end up having to absorb the cost of around £500 million with no guarantee viewers will accept the change of subscription fees etc.

As for all the missing channels...its just the usual jiggling of channels that SKY do every few months due to frequency constraints with satellites.

has any one seen what gone on at sky italia yes then that is going to happen to sky uk get use to it

So can you still get Sky Arts 1&2 HD, History HD, CI HD, & Nat Geo HD after a rescan?

I doubt it!
 
If the SD is still operating then no worries (I'm sure it will)

I think the HD will be back in the future after the boffins come up with an update (at massive cost to the providers)

Aye your right, i didn't read, but evidently neither did you. I changed the freq and said so in my post by edit hours ago, (also already been to AJs and updated) :whistling:

I installed Aj's newest list and still very few HD channels working for me? no BT sports 1+2 etc, but sly sports hd is fine?

Seriously all, can we try and keep it on topic? The BT Sport/ESPN issue is obviously unrelated, I'm keeping one eye on this thread for news and it's pretty tiresome having to read the same post over and over again. It's a simple fix and the solution is well explained in several places in the forum.
