confused about my cable options & which DVB box to purchase.

me personaly im no expert would leave it alone, others might say otherwise. if it works.(y)

Its up to people whether they put this on the SV4 or not. If the Box dies & you knew this was available to download, then you will be kicking yourselves.
Dont expect a refund from your supplier either.
 
Another option is to get just your internet from cable, whack a splitter on it and bobs your uncle :)
I have been told that its wiser to get the minimum tv package so that you are guaranteed the sig lev is ok
