Coronation Street's Maggie Jones dies

Maggie Jones, who played Coronation Street's Blanche Hunt, has died at the age of 75.

The actress passed away earlier today at the Salford Royal Hospital where she had been treated since falling ill in October.

Maggie appeared in more than 830 episodes of Coronation Street and first played Deirdre Barlow's mother Blanche in 1974.

Yes she did - not one anyone would want, But dont think anyone else could have done the job any better.

Not really a corrie fan but she is one character that every one knows.
