Cable Could you send Virmin over a balun

I'd like to extend the virmin line as it's only in the sitting room, and I'd like to get another zgemma for the bedroom....

Do you think it would work?

I know I'd been discussing it before but don't really want to run a thick cable.

I wouldn't need to use the power as there's nothing needed on that side....just the signal

Is there Cat 5 between the two rooms already?

If it is, is there anything stopping you from using 2 pair joined for the centre, and 2 pair joined for the shield.
Half of me says yes that should work, but the other half thinks no it wont. Its down to loss etc...

If you haven't already got the rooms linked with cat5 what about half a shotgun cable?

yeah there's a cat5 between rooms all ready....but that's connected to my network.....so didn't really want to split that one but don't mind running another one.

And yeah have a shotgun cable from the dish which runs into both rooms....one is spare.....

it might work i guess can only try it...
