Cross EPG downloader

Hi I was looking at my list of plugins and I can't find cross EPG downloader plugin. Where do I get it I can't see it in extensions is it in another plugin category?? Do I need to FTP it across as an ipk or is it downloadable through the box? I've just set my h2s up from scratch using vix sometimes the EPG hasn't downloaded as the channels are broken up

i would like to know this to as my box is due to arrrive soon and im currently using atv on 2s but epg was already included in the image
 
If you are going to be running OpenATV 5.1 firmware you need to run a lightly older version of CrossEPG.

Then follow the instructions in this thread for locking the version in place so that it is not updated and stops working. :http://www.techkings.org/zgemma-star-2s/81299-openatv-ota-question.html

Once locked in place you are free to run "over the air updates" if you are using OpenATV 5.1 as it is safe to use the update software feature. Menu -> InfoPanel -> Software Manager.
Although it will look like CrossEPG will be updated it ignores the update.

Yes either will do probably better for sat is the Crossepg downloader used in connection with OpenTV source as it downloads the EPG information straight from the satellite
 
I was using XMLTV Importer with Rytec but with it going down for a day put me on a search for another answer. CrossEPG worked when Rytec didn't. But yes either will do. But I do like CrossEPG for the speed and just the silly fact it switches to the radio when it is importing the EPG.

Kiddac has even skinned it so it is in keeping with everything else.
