Data security when using nlines

When you buy a line from someone are they able to view everything on your network? Would they be able to see what I watch, if I use my laptop can they see what web pages you browse (internet banking etc)?
My provider confirmed last night they could see I was online and it made me think what else can they see and if should increase my online security at all? Or can they merely see the nline is active?
 
All they would see is connected to a server,nothing is streamed except unlock codes I would imagine as its small data they wont bother,its mainly large data streams or specific sites that's alerted and seemingly most are outside the UK then looking could be a problem
 
Would they be able to see if I have logged onto my online banking account or made an purchase and paid for it with my credit card?
 
Can see what channel your on now, last channel viewed, total zaps ecm times server details really mate deffintly not bank details your okay there
