Dead USB 3 port

Recently had trouble flashing h9s!! I eventually got there using the usb2 slot, but after doing a few tests with the 3usb slot nothing registers on the box!! I know the sticks are fine as they register in the usb2 Has it dies or is there some way to pair or fix without opening the box?

I will have to think about that one!! I'm not sure it would power anything!!

I had a similar problem on my sf8008 with memory sticks and plugged a HDD in and it works now even with memory stick. Don't think too hard.

Haven't got one!! My other boxes are internal! I will have to think harder!!

I will have another look, there must be some life as it did start the Flash process but stopped after a couple of mins and the stick did light up!! Her indoors doesn't let dust settle anywhere lol.

I just plugged my phone in it and it recognised it and started charging so try and clean and persist in trying to get to register in box!!

Probably a bit of fluff of your jumper or such like fouling a contact. Handy to have a tin of compressed air though. Try a memory stick when finished with fon and see how you go
