Hi all,

Never had this with Win 7, only since upgrade ???? to Win 10. It does not hibernate or sleep I don't think but just appears to go dead. Any help appreciated.

Cheers

check your power and sleep settings ... switch to full performance .. or check the monitor HD sleep options

Thanks but solved problem. Dust on heatsink and fan. Brushed out and blew with workshop vac. Working a treat now.
Never underestimate dust !

Thanks.

Windows 10 must have electostatically charged your PC attracting more dust .. Its amazing what these updates can do ;)

I quite understand your point, but when you trace back and think when it started, then you come to the obviously wrong conclusion that the cause was the update.
