In summary HEVC is just a more efficient way of video file compression. For the end customer probably won't notice that much. However, for supplier it means the servers won't have to work as hard. A bit less maintenance.

It should mean less bandwidth req for IPTV and reduce buffering close to zero as the box dose quite a bit of the work aswell.

Agreed but with 4k streams coming it'll be good for both provider & end user.

I always wondered why my Z8 pro had noticeably better picture quality than the firestick and i55. Must be because it can handle H265

iv got the s turbo n the player it uses is quality n never has any issues running anything

Nothing to do with it mate. Enigma never built for IPTV. Better quality hardware inside the box on your formuler. Codec is just easier server side but box has to work harder.
