Display message on TV

I believe there's a way to display a message on the tv using an ssh connection.

I can recall someone talking about this. I've had a quick search and cannot find anything.

Could someone point me in the right direction.




I notice that the root user is wide open. Any issues if I set a password for it? Does it cause any problems in future Wooshbuild upgrades for example.

You can send a message from the webif side of the box. http://zgemmah2s or http://ipaddress_of_box

No, setting a password won't make any difference to WooshBuild updates. - not sure if the backup settings covers that side of things though so something for you to try :-)

If you have a phone running android and your box has webif enabled you can use the app timote to do the exact thing
