After months of rumors and speculation, DJI has finally made it official: the Avata 360 is on the way. The company released its clearest teaser yet, confirming the drone’s name, key features, and launch date.

The upcoming DJI Avata 360 will be DJI’s first drone capable of capturing full 360-degree video, and it’s expected to record in 8K resolution. This new model will compete directly with the Antigravity A1, which was previously the world’s first true 360-degree drone.

The teaser video carries the tagline “Above It All, See It All,” hinting at the drone’s immersive aerial perspective. DJI confirmed the official reveal will take place on March 26 at 5am PT / 8am ET / 12pm GMT / 10pm AEST, just a couple of weeks away.

Beyond that, the teaser doesn’t reveal much more. However, excitement around the Avata 360 has been building due to several recent leaks and rumors. Some leaked images and an earlier DJI teaser even showed aerial footage featuring the “tiny planet” effect, a visual style commonly created using 360-degree cameras.
According to one rumor, the Avata 360 may feature a dual-mode camera system. In 360-degree mode, two lenses would capture footage simultaneously—one pointing upward and the other downward—to create full spherical coverage. The camera could also switch to a single-lens mode, rotating forward like the camera on the DJI Avata 2, allowing it to function like a traditional FPV drone camera.
Pricing hasn’t been confirmed yet, but many expect the Avata 360 to cost less than the Antigravity A1, as DJI typically positions its products competitively.

There may also be positive news for DJI fans in the United States. Some reports suggest the Avata 360 was registered with the FCC before the December 2025 approval cutoff, which could allow the drone to be sold in the US.
For now, all eyes are on March 26, when DJI is expected to fully unveil the Avata 360 and confirm whether the rumors were right. 🚁
