Just turned mine on and its updated,everything is still there the apps i have sideloaded so thats a good thing.

I have not seen the Chromecast GUI but the update looks Good on this firestick,I picked up a lite version when they were on offer for £20 for the easy use of putting a vpn on and haveing Plex and a Few US tv apps.

Seems fine sideloading etc with new updated launcher. So safe to update.

Chromecast is the main competition but the new fire stick launcher looks slick and modern and fresh.

It's varying across all the different versions of fire sticks.

Not all have the update will come to these devices at different periods of time.

Just got to be patient.
