Dvd writer

I would like to add external option of maybe dvd / cd writer and dug up one i had here saying 16X and possibly 10 years old.?

Has quality got better if wanting to play dvds or cds via usb as this one has external power source + usb.

I'd say a DVD is a DVD
cant understand how they could change the format of how they work, or store information, that would make all older players redundant

they usually code the DVD disk not the player do they not @

thats what I mean
but they cant change how it actually works at a base level,
I used to have an old cheapo player that played all regions,
it seems to be newer or high end models that are region locked

I did remember having + and - discs for burning years ago.

Little box is in the middle with dvd writer below and creative sound card above.Now i need more USB ports
