what should the ideal ECM time be?
i keep getting brief freezing (for about 2-3 seconds).
trying to work out if it's the line provider or internet issues.

mine is currently going between 0.523 to 0.8 to 1.330

whoosh / cccam
plusnet / 25ms ping / 13Mbps

0.8 is high.
When I'm bored and find watching ecm times is more exciting than what is on the TV its usually anywhere between 0.032 and 0.350

so would a high one like 0.8 suggest its ISP related or line provider related?

Only way you can really tell is to get a few different test lines and see if it changes.
I guess you have your box hard wired to your router and are not using WiFi?
What router are you using, is it the plusnet white one with loads of green lights on the front or a new one with a long blue light which is a rebranded BT homehub?

yeah ethernet connected.
it's neither of the shitty plusnet routers :)

it's a billion 8800NL

Can you change the DNS servers on that router?
If you can try setting your DNS servers to the Google public DNS which is 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4

Bloody hell, mine very rarely gets upto 225ms, which is less than a quarter of a second, there and back,
0.8 of a sec or 800ms is to high, I was told the higher that figure is then the likelihood is at their end,
Just reading some of these figures is amazing, 1200ms!!!! Jesus

Just watched my ecms for a good 30 mins
My sky one hd from 0.563 to 1.511 with no freezing. Cable hd may be diffrent to sky.

OK i'm getting quite regular 3-4 second freezes this morning.
i have the softcam panel screen on display and during a freeze the emctime didn't drop, it stayed at 0.167 or there abouts.
if it was a network drop it would have expected that to drop to saying no ecm ?

any thoughts ?

i'm fully updated.
it's been doing it fairly regularly though, so trying to work out if it's line provider or ISP.

Is it actually your cam freezing? Not the picture from poor signal, just throwing that out there,

signal is fine.
the picture and sound totally freezes for about 2-3 seconds then works again.
changing to another pay channel during that time results in black screen

This is the same issue I'm having and also others I know, we are using different line providers and internet providers too, my Eco times are usually low and never higher than 600ms so the only common factor is the Zgemma box so it surely has to be limitations on that?

ive done a cache flush and turned off the time shift but it still will do it, it gets annoying when it starts doing it often, hopefully someone will find a cure for it soon.

surely if it was the box then everyone would be having the problem, and that's clearly not the case.
